Sarkis Ricci

BIO
Sarkis Ricci is a 28-year-old Franco-Armenian jazz pianist and composer. Born to Armenian folk dancers, he started playing classical piano at the age of 5. In 2012, he entered the American School of Modern Music (Paris) where he worked on his technique, developed his interest in electronic music and built his projects as a composer and musician in jazz, hip-hop and pop. He worked at the Boulogne conservatory as a piano teacher and MBP teacher (Music By Computer) and was appointed studio director and musical director for the Sauvage FFw label (Paris). Since his childhood, he has been influenced by classical Armenian orchestras and artists such as Komitas, Arno Babajanian, or Tigran Hamasyan with whom he follows several masterclasses. Since 2018, he has been a resident of Gaswerksiedlung Berlin, a creative studio complex dedicated to music, where he goes on pursuing and developing his music projects.

Sarkis’ lessons are dedicated to intermediate and advanced level musicians. He proposes piano technique, music theory / ear training, and lessons that dedicate to live performance and ensemble practice, all based on Berklee College of Music’s method. Lessons will be built on the specific interests and needs of each student.

2 persons - 45 € x 1 hour / 80 € x 2 hours / 140 € x 4 hours
Prices include both teachers’ pay and rental price of the studios
